CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Chi Sigma Iota- Beta Upsilon Chapter

Barry University Counselors’ Association
Graduate Student Conference '09
We are currently accepting proposals for our Inaugural
Graduate Student Conference to be held at our Alafaya Trail Campus on Friday, April 24, 2009 from 8:30 – 2:00. Proposals
will be accepted for presentations and poster sessions. Since this is our first year, we thought our emphasis should be on
students’ professional development, which can be interpreted in many ways – developing leadership, developing
as a professional counselor, exploring the many facets of counseling, etc.! Presentations
will be 45 minutes in length and poster sessions will be 30 minutes. We are looking for a variety of topics in counseling
(school, community, mental health, family, etc.). We will accept as many proposals as possible until March 20, 2009, but may
be limited by space demands! Students will be notified by e-mail upon receipt
of your proposal and will be notified by March 31st regarding acceptance. All those planning to present must also register
for the conference.
